Aztec Character Designs

Here are a few head-studies of characters I am working on for an Aztec princess film...

Teyacapan -means first-born girl (Princess Teya)

Matlal -means strength (Matla the Eagle Warrior)

Chimalli -means sheild (Teya's armadillo)

Paper Dancing Flowers

Here are two cut paper character designs for a my dancing flower series. The Salsa Stargazer Lily and the Ballet Dancing Daisy! I am working on backgrounds for each - I will post as soon as I finish. :]

Miss Brazil

Here is a factoid illustration (in progress) based on: The Howler Monkey is the loudest land animal.  The idea of a female Howler in a singing competition just cracks me up! What better way to show off her voice than at the Miss Rainforest competition 2012!

Charlotte's Web Cover Design

I was drawing inspiration for this project from the background illustrations in 101 Dalmations... so beautiful with every imperfection! I love them. I did this in watercolor/acrylic washes and colored pencil on 8x10 cold press illustration board.
